Presentation of Infinite-Thread®

Our laboratory, Thread & Lift, has been manufacturing and marketing the permanent suspension thread named Infinite-Thread® since 2018.

This is a class IIb medical device with CE certification. Thread & Lift laboratory is ISO 13485: 2016 certified.

Scientific literature has shown for many years that the emergence of jowls, nasolabial folds, bitterness folds and the loss of cheekbone volume are the consequence of several phenomena that occur during the ageing process. Bone resorption and the melting of adipose tissue are part of these phenomena, but not the main one. The melting of facial fat remains marginal up to the age of 80. On the other hand, the sagging of adipose tissue under the effect of gravity is a major phenomenon. This sagging of our fat from the upper third to the lower third is made possible by the gradual disappearance of collagen and elastin fibres from our connective tissue, which is no longer able to hold this fat in its original position.

Infinite-Thread® is indicated for repositioning and elevating collapsed tissue in the face, neck and eyebrows. It is equipped with 800 cogs moulded onto its envelope, which is made of solid medical-grade silicone, in order to hook the structures of the subcutaneous tissue and allow them to be raised to their original position. This effect is more commonly known as “lifting”.

Infinite-Thread® can be used without surgery, using what we call a “medical” placement technique, or in combination with a surgical facelift to limit invasiveness and improve durability, as our device is made from biomaterials that are not absorbable.

Infinite-Thread® is only available to healthcare practitioners who have completed our individual certification training. Today we work with over 700 practitioners in 20 countries.

Center thread in polyester
Biocompatible material used for more than 50 years by the medical industry.
Coating in solid silicone
Biocompatible material used for more than 50 years by the medical industry, producing minimal fibrosis. A series of 4 cogs is molded every 1.5mm.
Patented "8 zones" hook
Each series of 4 cogs is molded at a rotation of 45° with respect to the lower and upper series.
Zoom in
Patented conical cogs
The conical shape offers considerable resistance and power to the cogs.
Zoom in
Round shaped cogs
The rounded shape of their tips and the flexibility of the silicone prevent any risk of tissue trauma.
Distinctive central zone
The black colouring makes it easy to spot the change in hook direction.
Non-elongating biomaterials
The biomaterials used do not lengthen over time.
Non-elastic biomaterials
The biomaterials used do not change length according to stress.
Thin diameter thread
The diameter of Infinite-Thread® is only 1.4 mm.
Purple coloured thread
The purple colour does not make the thread visible under the skin, but differentiates it from anatomical structures.
Reversible thread
The structure of the thread and its non-absorbable nature make it possible to remove it if desired.

There are several placement techniques of Infinite-Thread®.

You can see above several schemes illustrating the positioning of our suspension thread according to the areas to be treated. The first illustration shows a non-surgical procedure to lift the eyebrows, the tissues of the middle third of the face, the tissues of the lower third of the face and the neck area by treating the platysmal cords. The second diagram shows the recommended positioning of the thread for a treatment of the neck, from below. Finally, the third diagram shows a therapeutic combination of Infinite-Thread® during a surgical facelift.
